In Google Sheets you can do even more with your cells, using the two latest features: Text rotation and Accounting.
Text rotation
This feature is great for improving the look of your headings in Sheets. When text wrapping just doesn’t work for you, text rotation should.
- Open your Google Sheet
- Select the cell, row or column with the text you want to rotate
- Along the toolbar at the top right you will see this icon:
- Click the icon and select the rotate option that works best for you
- Adjust the height of the column/row to suit
Accounting
If you’re working with figures in Google Sheets, then try the latest Number feature, many of you may prefer it to the previous options Financial and Currency.
- Open your Google Sheet
- Select the cell, row or column with the figures you want to transform
- Click Format in the main menu
- Select Number and in the sub nav, click Accounting
